Volume of new contracts and tenders falls, according to new data

The industry is starting to get back to work despite the covid-19 lockdown being set to continue for at least another nine days.

Contractors have confirmed that an increasing number of sites are now up and running.

A weekly covid-19 update, published last Friday by data gatherers Barbour ABI, said: "This week we have seen a decrease in the overall number and value of delayed projects. Hopefully the scale of delays has now reached a peak and is now starting to decrease as sites reopen.
