Scheme to include 10,000sq m of floorspace spanning five buildings

Scott Brownrigg’s plans for a £44m life sciences campus in Oxfordshire have secured planning approval.
The firm’s masterplan for the expansion of Wootton Science Park will contain nearly 10,000sq m of floorspace across five commercial buildings set in landscaped gardens.
The low-carbon buildings, which, also contain a bistro and a gym, have been designed for small and medium-sized science and tech companies working in the region’s life sciences cluster.
The scheme’s developer Hartwell has owned the site since 1975 and built the first office on the campus in 2005.
Companies already present on the site, which is located around 3.5 miles south-west of Oxford, include Bupa’s Stratum Dermatology Clinic and DeepTech Recycling.
The project team for the park’s latest scheme includes Ridge, Newmark, IMA, Macfarlane and Associates, Aspect Ecology Hoare Lea, Campbell Reith, CBRE and Savills.
Scott Brownrigg is working on several other life sciences schemes in the area including a technology and research building at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, approved in April this year, and a research and development building for the University of Southampton Science Park which was approved in December 2024.
