Pre-tax profit at London office jumps from a loss of £688,400 to a profit of £897,556
HOK’s UK office is back in the black after increasing its turnover by 28%.
The US practice reported income of £21m at its London-based overseas division in the 12 months to 26 December 2026, up from £16.4m the previous year.
Its pre-tax profit jumped from a loss of £688,400 to a profit of £897,556 over the same period.
The practice said its stronger performance was driven by higher workloads in both architecture and planning services, adding that it had entered 2026 with a “healthy backlog” of work.
It posted revenue of £15.2m for architecture, up from £11.46m the previous year, and £4.6m for planning, up from £2.9m.
However, its turnover from its interiors business almost halved from £2m to £1.1m over the same period.
The UK has remained a key market, accounting for £7.9m of its total turnover, up from £6.7m, with the rest of Europe staying flat at £1m and the rest of the world rising from £8.6m to £12m.
The firm’s total number of employees held relatively steady, falling marginally from 116 to 113 while its staff costs ticked up from £8.9m to £9m.
