Hear advice and strategies from practice leaders who have been there before

No one welcomes an economic crash. But are recessions always an unmitigated disaster or can they provide opportunities for creative flourishing?

In this live discussion and Q&A we will hear from three practice leaders who have been through hard times before and come out the other side.

We will be joined by Brendan Kilpatrick, senior partner at PRP, Sam Jacob, founder of Sam Jacob Studio – who co-founded FAT during a recession – and Sumita Singha, founding director of Ecologic who is currently standing for RIBA president.

The panel will be completed by Alex Shall, partner at specialist accountants Haines Watts.

The live debate will be chaired by Elizabeth Hopkirk, Building Design’s assistant editor, who will be encouraging you to put your questions and observations to the panel.

Tune in at 1pm for some unique insights and an in-depth discussion among leading practitioners to give your practice a head start as we enter what the Bank of England is predicting could be the worst downturn for 300 years.

The discussion is part of a full day of activity on the Building Design website which will also see the announcement of all the finalists for this year’s Architect of the Year Awards.
