O’Donnell Brown behind scheme
O’Donnell Brown has submitted a planning application to Glasgow city council for a new housing development in the city’s Kelvinhaugh district.
The city-based practice was commissioned by local property developer Mitre Properties to design four mews houses on a vacant plot in Glasgow’s West End.
Each dwelling features two bedrooms on the ground floor and an open-plan kitchen and living room on the upper floor.
The development contributes to a local area plan to promote cycling – the Yorkhill and Kelvingrove Cycling Village – by incorporating private bike storage within each property.
It includes a communal bike wash area and a repair station within the residents’ shared garden.
