Fosters tipped for Edinburgh Haymarket job

Architect ‘beat three other finalists’

Foster & Partners has won a £300m mixed-use scheme in Edinburgh on a plot next door to the Scottish capital’s Haymarket Station, BD understands.

Fosters was brought in earlier this year to look again at the masterplan which had been drawn up by Scottish practice Richard Murphy Architects.

The job then went out to tender with four practices bidding and Fosters beating remaining rival Aukett Swanke to the job.
