The government’s flagship Building Safety Bill has become law. Here is a reminder of why it is important along with the key areas that have changed during its passage through parliament
After months of debate and amendments, the Building Safety Bill has become law.
The mammoth 262-page act is intended to “create lasting generational change” to the way residential buildings are constructed and maintained in the UK following the 2017 Grenfell Tower disaster, while protecting the rights of leaseholders.
