Contractor VolkerFitzpatrick is racing to finish paving at a £39m main entrance upgrade at Wembley Stadium ahead of this Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final.

Around 4,000 fans will use the Olympic steps for the first time this weekend.

The largely public realm project was designed by Dixon Jones and completed by vPPR which took over the contract and key staff when Dixon Jones went into liquidation last autumn at a critical moment in the project.
