Dennis Austin has worked on airport schemes across the globe including Heathrow’s Terminal 5

Aecom has appointed a former partner at RSHP as its new aviation architecture director with the role to focus on airport schemes across the UK and Europe.

Dennis Austin was an associate partner at RSHP predecessor Richard Rogers Partnership, working at the practice for seven years between 1998 and 2015.

His projects at the firm included Heathrow Airport’s Terminal, on which he played a key role in developing the scheme’s design concept and its roof construction approach.

Austin started his career in the 1980s before spending four years at Rafael Vinoly Architects in New York in the 1990s before moving to London to join Richard Rogers.

His other aviation projects include Singapore Changi Terminal 5, Geneva Airport East Pier, Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2F, Shanghai Pudong Airport.
