This story is being taken far more seriously on other forums.
Of the five allegations, four came from employees of Meier, one of whom received a financial settlement.
Based on what is in the public domain this suggests a serious abuse of power by Meier towards his female employees.
As ever it leaves the question of the man or his work? That Meier is a major architect of the late twentieth century is indisputable but is his work diminished by his actions.
Personally I feel his work is not diminished but has been tainted by his actions. It will be difficult to view his work without remembering the man.
Since the allegations were published in March, it is notable how many American institutions have distanced themselves from Meier; most notably Cornell Architecture School which has virtually removed all record of the man from the school he has long been associated with.
