BD is inviting young people entering the profession to take part in a piece of vital research which seeks their views about the future of the wider construction sector.

Jointly conducted with BD’s sister titles Building and Housing Today, the survey seeks the views of those under 30 who are either studying architecture or a construction subject or who are already working in the industry.

Construction suffers from serious skills shortages and urgently needs young people to join the industry to plug the gaps, but it has struggled to overcome negative perceptions of careers in the sector.

BD wants to hear from the next generation who can use this as an opportunity to tell construction’s leaders what they think of working in the sector and what could be done better to meet their professional needs.

Click here to take the survey, or use the links at the top of this story to forward it to younger colleagues. Entrants stand to win £50 of Amazon vouchers.

The deadline for responses is Friday, April 5.
