Founding directors Alex de Rijke and Sadie Morgan step back from day-to-day roles, as the practice names five new associate directors across its London and Berlin studios
dRMM has announced a leadership restructure as it marks 30 years in practice, with founding directors Alex de Rijke and Sadie Morgan stepping back from the day-to-day running of the studio. Morgan will also step down as a director.
De Rijke remains a director but is no longer involved in daily operations. Both will continue as ambassadors for the practice, while pursuing individual roles across academia, advisory work and other professional interests.
Founding director Philip Marsh continues in his role as a director. The studio’s leadership remains with Marsh, Jonas Lencer, Saskia Lencer, and Judith Stichtenoth.
A new group of associate directors has also been announced. Nazli Usta, Steve Wallis, Victoria Hale and Will Howard have taken on associate director roles in the London studio, with Tonia Tkachenko appointed in Berlin.
In a joint statement, the directors said: “Our ambition is for dRMM to continue to be a space where a blend of curiosity, innovation and pragmatism define how we work and who we are as a team.”
They added: “We are excited to see how this process will continue to evolve as we develop as a team, always with the goal of creating architecture that responds to climate, urban context, and social condition.”
dRMM was founded in 1995 and gained early recognition with projects including Kingsdale School and the RIBA-award winning Centaur Street housing scheme. The practice established a Berlin studio in 2022.
