Half of the nine-block scheme’s homes will be affordable

HOK has been given the green light for Transport for London’s (TfL) biggest development to date, an 850-home housing scheme in Acton.

Plans for the huge 3.6ha Bollo Lane site were cleared by Ealing council last week, with the nine-block scheme set to provide 50% affordable homes and more than 2,300sq m of commercial space.

The scheme’s 850 one-, two- and three-bed properties add to the 6,650 homes on TfL’s housing programme which have already been approved, with a further 1,500 having started on site.

TfL said it aims to provide at least 10,000 homes across the capital as part of its housing programme, which includes a commitment that each site will include an average of 50% affordable homes on all schemes brought to the market since May 2016.

Designed by HOK, the project team includes engineer Mott MacDonald, planning consultant JLL and landscape architect East.
