Sabrina Klor

Sabrina Klor has left Broadway Malyan to take up the role of chief executive officer at 10 Design.

Klor was previously chief operating officer at Broadway Malyan and brings more than 20 years of international experience across architecture, urban design and construction.

She will lead 10 Design from its London studio, which has been designated as the practice’s global headquarters. The firm employs around 400 architects and designers across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.

Klor said: “I am delighted to be joining 10 Design at such a pivotal moment, as its London studio, where I will be leading the practice from, is named the official global headquarters.

“I look forward to visiting each international studio and meeting our clients, gaining a deep understanding of the business, and using those insights to help shape an effective culture that continues to drive excellence in everything we deliver.”

Chris Jones, chairman of 10 Design, said: “We are excited to welcome Sabrina as our new CEO. She brings not only deep expertise in both the UK and global markets, but also a proven ability to lead and evolve the operations of a fast-growing global architectural practice.

“As we celebrate our 15th anniversary this year, I believe her people-centred approach and emphasis on culture will be instrumental in shaping the next chapter of 10 Design.”

10 Design is part of the 10N collective, launched at this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, which brings together 1,500 design professionals across 20 studios worldwide. Member practices include 10 Design, WW+P, SvN, Fenwick Iribarren Architects, U+A and Omrania.

Colin Hutchison, CEO of 10N, added: “I am delighted to welcome Sabrina as CEO and look forward to collaborating closely with her as 10 Design strengthens its position globally.”

Klor also serves as chair of Women in Architecture UK, a volunteer-led organisation advocating for greater representation of women and underrepresented groups in the built environment.

Meanwhile, Broadway Malyan has announced two senior appointments in London following Klor’s departure.

Tim Burgess and Emma Flanagan join Broadway Malyan

Tim Burgess has joined as head of the London studio, moving from TODD Architects where he was principal. His role includes leading Broadway Malyan’s UK architecture and urban design teams and business development.

Emma Flanagan has been appointed as UK business development director. A qualified architect, she joins from GPAD and previously held senior roles at pH+. She will oversee business development across the UK with a focus on client relationships and strategic growth.

Broadway Malyan CEO Ian Apsley said: “Welcoming Tim and Emma to the London team significantly strengthens our presence in and around the capital to build on the success of Stitch joining us earlier this year, as well as the ongoing growth of our international studios.

“We’re continuing to invest in people and systems to meet the undoubted challenges of operating a global business in a rapidly changing political and technological environment.”
