Scheme to restore 18th cottage to its original appearance and save historic buildings from further decay

Collective Architecture has submitted a planning application to restore the farm in Dumfries where Scottish poet Robert Burns wrote many of his most famous works.

The plans for Ellisland farm, which houses a museum dedicated to the poet, will reverse historic damage to the 18th century buildings and return Burns’ cottage to how it looked in 1791.
