Construction director at Quintain warns investment is being redeployed away from housing due to gateway 2 holdups

Quintain’s construction director has warned delays at the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) are deterring investors and could result in people losing their jobs.

Matt Voyce told peers at an oral evidence session in Parliament yesterday that lengthy and ongoing holdups for gateway 2 approvals on schemes are “leading to a redeployment of investment away from house building”.
