Data shows they fare worse than any other graduates

US architecture students have the highest unemployment rate among graduates, according to a new study.

The data from the Georgetown University’s Centre on Education & the Workforce found that 13.9% of architecture graduates are unemployed compared to 11.1% in the arts and 9.4% of those studying the humanities.

Study author Anthony P Carnevale told the Washington Post: “People keep telling kids to study what they love — but some loves are worth more than others.”

The analysis was based on 2009 and 2010 data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey.
