Partnership with local firm One Space aimed at widening Asia Pacific work
Scott Brownrigg has teamed up with Hong Kong practice One Space to expand the firm’s operations in Asia.
The practice has formed a strategic partnership with the 20-strong outfit to deliver projects in Hong Kong, Singapore and the wider region and help Scott Brownrigg widen its global client base.
Scott Brownrigg was responsible for delivering the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway system in the 1970s and for work at Chek Lap Kok Airport.
Michael Olliff, managing director at Scott Brownrigg, said: “Having capacity in Hong Kong as well as our studio in Singapore will significantly add to our reach in the entire Asia Pacific region.”
Last summer Scott Brownrigg snapped up GMW Architects with the firm saying the move had been sparked by GMW’s work in the airport sector, notably a scheme at Istanbul Airport in Turkey.
GMW’s 28-storey Aviva Tower – originally the Commercial Union building – which was completed in 1969 is due to be torn down and replaced by the City of London’s tallest tower, Eric Parry’s 1 Undershaft.
