The guy’s alright. He’s 80. He’s had an amazing career (“Rogers: ‘Architects need to take on politicians’, News July 19).
All things considered, and despite there being a number of projects within his portfolio that might appear contrary to the rhetoric, he has produced some genuinely thought provoking and radical pieces of design.
The crux of what he is saying is fundamentally true. Our politicians seem to be a mixture of lawyers, accountants and former special advisers. It would be great to see architects in genuine positions of power.
