Alistair Brand escorted off Glasgow site this morning

A RMJM managing principal has been fired just 24 hours after allegations were made about the business in a Scottish newspaper.

Alistair Brand was escorted from the firm’s Glasgow office by security guards this morning after 17 years at the practice. It is understood his mobile phone was confiscated as well while his biography and photograph have been removed from the firm’s website.

A RMJM spokesman confirmed he had been dismissed but declined to comment further.

Yesterday, the Sunday Herald published allegations about RMJM which were removed from the paper’s website this afternoon.

RMJM had earlier said the allegations were “misleading, inaccurate and defamatory”. He added: “Lawyers acting on behalf of RMJM have written to the editor demanding a retraction and apology, as well as payment of damages.”
