Vacant London office building to be rebuilt as flats

Paul Davis & Partners has secured planning permission from Westminster City Council for the refurbishment of 20 Grosvenor Square in London.

The project involves the partial demolition of a vacant eight-storey office building, originally built as a residential property in the 1930s, and converting the building back to 31 flats.

Developer Grosvenor Square was granted planning permission earlier this year for 41 flats on the site, but has since revised its proposals.

Councillors agreed that although the number of flats was not optimal, the plans were acceptable due to a £5 million contribution towards off-site affordable housing.
