The company that owns Nightingale has said it has not yet found a buyer for the business it put up for sale in March.

Tribal, which carries out public sector work including managing Ofsted’s education inspection work, is getting rid of its three support service divisions: architecture, resourcing and communications.

In an interim management statement, the firm said: “We are continuing to explore the strategic options for each of our three support services businesses, and we will provide a further update on progress in due course.”

Nightingale is currently carrying out the largest ever contract in its 21-year history with work on the £840 million Glasgow Southern General Hospital along with contractor Brookfield. The pair previously worked on a PFI hospital scheme in Peterborough.

Nightingale became part of Tribal in 2002 when it was bought for £9 million.
