Nick Johnson
Deputy chief executive of Manchester-based Urban Splash, Nick Johnson will be blogging about the joys and frustrations of life in the regeneration fast lane.
A surveyor by training, Johnson is driving the New Islington development in East Manchester, masterplanned by Will Alsop, with contributions from Fat, Shed KM and Mecanoo.
Nick is also the director in charge of revamping Park Hill in Sheffield with Studio Egret West and Hawkins Brown and is behind Urban Splash’s recent bid to win work in the capital.

It seems churlish, I know, in this week of celebrating all things worthy - architecture, bikes and saving the planet - to come across all maudlin, but I am a Manc after all. And heaven knows, I'm miserable now.
