Job will include more than 500 homes with tallest block running to 43 storeys
Developer LWP Redbank has begun a public consultation on plans to build more than 500 homes across two towers in Manchester.
Designed by local practice Jon Matthews Architects, the scheme at 50–54 Red Bank will feature towers of 18 and 43 storeys high providing 509 homes.
The proposals will be submitted as two concurrent planning applications – one covering the new homes and public realm around the towers and another focusing on further public realm improvements and future access to a nearby historic viaduct.
New commercial units will be built at ground level while more than 2,000sq m of open space will link the towers to the viaduct.
Others working on the scheme include planning consultant Deloitte, project manager Bidwells, cost consultant Walker Sime, Civic on civils, MEP consultant Cundall and landscape architect Re:Form.
The consultation runs until 3 October.
