Children’s hospital ‘leads the field’ with natural healing proposal

Cullinan Studio has submitted plans for Alder Hey in Liverpool which will create the first children’s hospital in Europe to be integrated within a park.

The plans, designed with Turkington Martin landscape architects, will expand and improve Springfield Park so that hospital users and staff can benefit from it, along with the local community.

The initial masterplan includes multi-use sports facilities, natural and organised play areas, a community orchard and a large central green providing a flexible events space.
