Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt gets go-ahead for Cardiff scheme

Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt's Dumballs Road Scheme, created for built-to-rent specialist Platform

Project will deliver 206 build-to-rent homes plus ground-floor retail

Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt has secured planning permission for a £25m build-to-rent scheme in Cardiff for developer and operator Platform.

The 206-unit scheme will be built on the site of a former builders’ merchants on Dumballs Road, south of Cardiff Central Station, and will be 12-storeys high at its tallest.

In addition to the homes the 14,783 sq m scheme will also include 622 sq m of ground-floor retail space, eighth-floor roof terraces, communal dining facilities, a residents’ lounge and a fitness centre.
