Other practices to win prizes include Stolon Studio and Fraser Brown Mackenna

AHMM has been named Architectural Practice of the Year at the 2025 Building Awards, the annual awards show held by Building Design’s sister title Building.
Hosted by comedian Dara Ó Briain, the ceremony at the Grosvenor House hotel in London’s Mayfair on 4 November was attended by more than 1,000 professionals from across the construction industry.
Stolon Studio also picked up Traditional and Historic Retrofit Project of the Year for The Parks, an eight-home renovation of rural buildings at a former dairy farm in Hertfordshire.
Feix & Merlin, General Projects and Southwark council were highly commended in the category for the transformation of Walworth Town Hall into community space.
Housing Project of the Year was handed to Fraser Brown Mackenna Architects for Bancroft and Wickford Street, while small project of the Year was scooped by Thomas-McBrien Architects and New Wave London for New Wave House.

Chloë McCulloch, editorial director at Building, said: “These awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of companies and individuals driving excellence across the construction industry.
“The judges were impressed by their commitment to quality in the face of ongoing market challenges. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners.”
Other awards included Skanska UK chief executive Katy Dowding as CEO of the Year, the University of Cambridge as Construction Client of the Year and Multiplex as Major Contractor of the Year.
