Practice targeting science and tech work
Devereux Architects returned to the black last year thanks to growing workloads in the science and technology sector.
The firm, which is part of Irish engineer and project manager PM Group, saw pre-tax profits climb to £113,000 from a £547,000 loss last time.
Turnover in the year to December 2014 edged up by just over £60,000 to £2.9 million and the firm’s managing director Julian Seward said it was looking to take on more staff to cope with increased business in the science and technology sector. Staff numbers are now at 42, up from last year’s 35.
Its £45 million neuroscience research facility (pictured) for King’s College London’s Denmark Hill campus was opened this June by the Princess Royal.
Managing director Julian Seward said: “We are already seeing the positive results of our strategy and I am confident that we will continue to grow and improve our business in the coming year.”
