Scheme will include three blocks

Bennetts Associates has been given planning for a 28,000sq m office scheme in the middle of Cardiff.

The work on the Welsh capital’s John Street is part of the wider Capital Quarter development and will feature three blocks of 22, 12 and 10 storeys, with retail units at ground floor. The 22-storey block will be one of Cardiff’s tallest buildings if it is built

Local developer JR Smart is behind the scheme which is intended to kickstart regeneration of an area between the city’s Lloyd George Avenue in the north and Callaghan Square to the south.

Public plazas surrounded by shops and restaurants are also part of the scheme.
