We will end up with more poor-quality buildings and more long-term debt.

It’s like paying for your house by credit card, then giving the house to your builder and asking him to select his own designer.

Then you have meetings with the builder, asking them to make changes, and they say sorry, it’s too expensive, and anyway it’s their building and they know how to design it best.
