Artificial intelligence is reshaping the way that architects think, work and make decisions. The promise of speed, efficiency and instant visualisation is compelling, and it is easy to see why AI tools are becoming central to early concept design and project delivery.
Yet, in the rush to embrace these new capabilities, there is a risk that the discipline sidelines one of the most fundamental categories of the creative design process: the material.
