Move follows the acquisition of Dubai-based practice Bluehaus
TP Bennett has appointed three new directors as it continues to expand its international operations, following the recent acquisition of Dubai-based Bluehaus, a 70-person architecture and interiors practice.
Ash Gupta has joined as director of masterplanning. He has worked for nearly two decades in strategic urban design, including a decade in the Middle East. His portfolio includes large-scale planning projects such as the Greater Muscat Structure Plan and Jeddah North in Saudi Arabia.
According to the practice, his appointment is intended to strengthen its presence in the MENA region.
Simon Mason has been appointed as a director with a focus on architecture and design. He was previously at Foster + Partners and Ridge, with experience across education, leisure and mixed-use projects. His work has included the integration of data and digital tools such as AI.
Tom Helliwell returns to the practice as a director in the interiors division. With previous roles at Perkins+Will, BDG and tp bennett, Helliwell has experience in workplace strategy and change management.
The firm stated that both the appointments and acquisition of Bluehaus form part of a broader strategy to grow its international operations.
