Office and housing scheme to feature facade of raw sedimentary stone blocks

Plans by Amin Taha’s practice Groupwork to replace a post-war industrial unit on Regent’s Canal with a six-storey mixed-use block have been given the green light by Hackney council.

The proposals for 16-24 Orsman Road in Hoxton are set to be the latest showcase of the studio’s idiosyncratic facade approach, featuring bricks of sedimentary stone in various mismatched sizes.
