Scheme is part of wider £40m revamp for West Sussex town

Conran and Partners has been given the green light for a 255-homes scheme near Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex.

The £40m scheme involves turning a former industrial site at Kingston Wharf on the banks of the river Adur and along with new homes includes new flood defences, public realm and a cycleway.

The scheme includes a new river walk

Conran’s deal is for housing association Hyde Group and will see the homes built of blocks of between four and eight storeys at a site next to Kingston Beach and a grade II-listed lighthouse built in 1846.

A new river walk will connect Shoreham town centre with nearby Kingston Beach.

All of the homes will be affordable, available for rent or for shared ownership.
