Football competition to take place at Leyton Orient Football Club’s Brisbane Road stadium
Building, Building Design and Housing Today have today launched the inaugural Built Environment Football World Cup, with teams across the industry invited to sign up for the 7-a-side tournament.

The competition will take place on Wednesday 3 June at Leyton Orient Football Club, just one week before the start of this summer’s FIFA World Cup, giving the sector an early opportunity to get into the spirit of the global game.
Delivered in partnership with Property Sports Network, the event will bring together professionals from construction, architecture, engineering, housing and property for a professionally managed tournament featuring group stages, knockout rounds and a final to crown the first Built Environment World Cup champions.
Teams can register squads of up to 10 players, with rolling substitutions permitted throughout the day. The format is designed to be competitive while remaining accessible, offering firms of all sizes the chance to take part.
While the focus is firmly on the football, the day will provide a relaxed setting for colleagues and industry peers to connect on the sidelines and in the stands.
The tournament will also raise funds for Haven House Children’s Hospice, supporting children and families who rely on specialist care.
Places are limited for this inaugural event. Firms wishing to enter a team or explore sponsorship opportunities are encouraged to register or via the event website https://events.assemblemediagroup.co.uk/the-built-environment-football-world-cup/ or contact Cameron Marshall Cameron.marshall@assemblemediagroup.co.uk
