The Architects Registration Board has launched a consultation on proposals to simplify the prescribed examination system to provide a clearer route to registration for people without ARB-accredited qualifications.

The proscribed examination is used by architectural professionals holding overseas or unrecognised qualifications to achieve registration. It is an assessment of whether the qualifications they hold can be considered equivalent to Part I or Part 2 qualifications.
