Registration board seeks architects’ views for criteria and procedures review

The Architects Registration Board is calling for views on changes that could be made to its rules on the training and experience required to progress through the profession’s ranks.

Ahead of cyclical reviews on the standards required of professionals and procedures for managing the initial award of the qualification and its renewal, the regulator is seeking insight on how the current documents underpinning the system could be revised.

Round-table events are being held to help shape the process and an online survey has also been launched

The first face-to-face event took place in Glasgow yesterday and a Belfast session is being held today. Further events are scheduled in Cardiff on September 25, Nottingham on September 26 and London on September 27.

The online survey will be live on the Arb website until October 2.

The Arb said the reviews themselves would be taking place over the coming months.
