Firm almost back to 2024 revenue following slump last year

Allies and Morrison’s turnover has bounced back after the Southwark-based practice more than doubled its income from overseas work.
Turnover rose by 18% from £37.3m to £43.9m while pre tax profit edged up from £6.4m to £6.9m, according to the firm’s latest accounts for the year to 31 March 2026.
The numbers represent a recovery from last year’s slump which saw its overseas income fall by 51% compared to 2024, when it posted total revenue of £45.1m.
While the firm’s 2026 income from the UK held steady at £32.7m, up from £32.4m in 2025, its income from the rest of Europe jumped from £541,000 to £2.4m and its turnover from the rest of the world rose from £4.4m to £8.8m.
The firm’s improved performance came as it trimmed its headcount from an average monthly number of 286 last year to 265 this year, with its average number of architects falling from 250 to 229.
Overseas projects Allies and Morrison has worked on during the period covered by its latest accounts include its first project in China, a 280ha masterplan for a former industrial park in Beijing which is set to be turned into a conference and exhibition campus.
The firm also opened a studio in Toronto in July 2025 after working in Canada for nearly 10 years.
