Camden Town Xchange scheme to replace bingo hall and cinema
Proposals for a mixed-use scheme in Camden have been submitted to local planners.
The scheme at 180 Arlington Road has been drawn up by AHMM and will include a 1,000sq m cultural and leisure space as well as 48 affordable homes and 244 student bedrooms along with restaurants, shops and café space.
Developer on the north London job, called Camden Town Xchange, is Camden Vision with others working on the project including transport and construction management consultant Caneparo Associates and planning firm Newmark.
The developer said the cultural space could host a range of uses including a performance venue or an immersive gallery-style space.
The scheme will replace a bingo hall which closed last year as well as a cinema, which is slated for closure next spring.
