Hackitt calls for products to come with 'authorised use' labels

‘Ban manufacturers from testing own products’
Building products should carry clear statements explaining where they can and cannot be used, the Hackitt report says.
This should prevent substitution without further full testing - which was one of the issues at the Grenfell refurbishment.
It would also help architects to know where they can and cannot specify products.
Product testing will also be required to be carried out by independent third party test houses rather than manufacturers under plans laid out in Dame Judith Hackitt’s final report on building safety.
