All London entries to feature in new app

Entries have opened for this year’s nationwide Housing Design Awards, now in their 64th year.

This year the Greater London Authority has signed up to create an app detailing all the London entries, with an eye on architecture enthusiasts and house-hunters visiting the Olympics.

As well as completed schemes, the awards are open to unbuilt schemes that have planning permission.

David Birkbeck, chief executive of Design for Homes, said: “Backed by the RIBA, RICS, RTPI, Homes & Communities Agency among others, these are the only awards where the whole development team is celebrated - planning authority as well as developer as well as architects.”

Deadline for entry is 1 March and entry is online at www.hdawards.org.
