Archial has said its pipeline of future work now stands at a record £60 million.

It said 38% of this potential workload was from international work with the remainder coming from private and public sector jobs in the UK.

The practice, which is one of two architects listed on the Stock Exchange, said the news “offers signs of optimism for the future”.

In 2009, the firm, headed by chief executive Chris Littlemore, made a £14.7 million pre-tax loss on turnover down 20% to £33.9 million.

In a trading update this morning, Archial said business in the first four months of 2010 had been in line with management expectations. It added it has now set up an office in Toronto, Canada, and is eyeing more opportunities in the UAE and China.
