The article sums up the situation pretty much spot on, I admit there are big projects getting delivered in Glasgow but most of them are an absolute stain on the city; a big grey monolithic tissue box for sport in the east, a wriggly shed in the west, the riverside ghetto that is Glasgow Harbour, a puffy glow in the dark disc that adds to the absolute anti-urbanism horror show that is the SECC complex, there's currently an absolute horror show of a hospital rising threateningly over Govan... I shudder at the thought of what's waiting to drip out of the pipeline.

The conditions that are required to create great architecture and places in Scotland simply do not exist at the moment and the profession is too scared to stand up and face down those in the public and private sector that they rely on for the easy dollar
