If we are writing about high quality teaching what are the hyphens for in" environ-ment" and "circum-stances"? Why do we always descend to "either/or" arguments? Surely interaction is the key? I sat in Robert Mull's seat many years ago and then tutored in the Netherlands. Many of my Dutch/German students opted to go to the UK to further their education and in earlier times many came from the UK to the Netherlands. All benefited greatly from the experience of academic stimulation through interaction. The tutoring experience was broadly the same as any other, one balances the good with the bad.
