I'm always going on about the relentless recycling of the same old visuals from presidentsmedals.com. So glad you guys get it too. Seems the students don't. Someone needs to tell them to grow some balls and do their own thing instead of copying each other. Props to BD for exposing it on here.

Seems like there's currently a universal recipe for success as an architecture student; compose a sectional drawing of some obscure forms, dockland structures cranes etc make a good starting point. Make sure you add lots of random lines. If you can get slatted wood / recycled rubbish in as well you get extra marks. Then take it into photoshop and apply a few filters to make it all dark, cloudy and dystopic, and of course finally splice in those magic flying birds in the sky.

It's lame and boring and it's probably just as well that few of these sheep students will actually get a job in the industry.
