I agree with Amy Frearson. Demolition is not the answer.

This is a calmly considered and interesting proposal. And utterly refreshing in that the historical and architectural significance of RHG is not cited as the reason it should saved. We can argue about that until we are blue in the face.

The environmental argument to keep a vast concrete structure and save embodied energy, along with the social argument to keep together rather than disperse an existing community, are clear and powerful. I have yet to see anyone put forward a convincing counter argument.
