The passivhaus standard is brilliant but it does not mean that the architect can forget designing a building which is site specific, laid out relative to sun orientation with a room hierarchy specific to a sustainable lifestyle all of which reduce demand on energy in general. this traditional typology may be inflexible in this regard.
