Wilkinson Eyre scoops Lubetkin Prize with Guangzhou International Finance Centre
Practice can add new award to mantelshelf alongside two previous Stirling Prize wins
Wilkinson Eyre has beaten three other practice, including Foster & Partners, to win the coveted RIBA award for international architecture project of the year.
A jury chaired by DSDHA’s Deborah Saun visited all of the nominated buiuldings - Foster’s Sperone Westwater Gallery in New York, the Solaris science research and development centre in Singapore by Malaysian practice TR Hamzah and Yeang along with Singapore firm CPG and a 35-storey residential tower, called One KL, in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur
RIBA president Angela Brady unveiled the winner at this year’s Stirling Prize dinner on Saturday night.
