John Wotton to create religious dining experience in Cardiff
Cardiff Council planners have approved John Wotton Architects’ plans to convert the city’s Ebenezer Church into an haute cuisine restaurant.
The local practice has included space for a new brasserie for celebrity chef Raymond Blanc, which will sit inside the R G Thomas-designed church.
Work on the grade II listed building, located on Charles Street, is expected to cost £400,000 and also includes office space, as well as a second restaurant. A condition of approval for the conversion is that work must be completed within two years or a £50,000 groundwork fine will be imposed on the developers.
Cardiff Council received no objections to the proposals.
