KPF completes Sao Paolo office tower
Tenants include Goldman Sachs and Facebook
KPF has completed the 120m Infinity Tower in São Paulo’s new financial district.
The 18-storey building appears to be wrapped by two sweeping glass “sails” of curtain wall covered in a brise soleil.
Each floor plate increases in size as the tower rises and has a balcony at each end providing views over two of the city’s main thoroughfares, Avenida Paulista to the north and Faria Lima to the south.
The design was said to be inspired by a schooner running under full sail.
At its base are reflecting pools, shaded walkways, landscaped areas and a canopy-covered porte-cochere leading in to the building’s main lobby.
Tenants include Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Bloomberg, Facebook and Louis Vuitton.
KPF managing principal Lloyd Sigal said: “It is one thing to design a great building. It is another to build it. Our client understood that quality of execution was vital to the building’s success and defining a new standard for excellence in the Brazilian market.”
